This summer we have been delighted to be hosting the Ashirbad volunteer from NUI Galway in our centres. The five volunteers have in particular done tremendous work in our Khidderpore Centre where they are spending three full days a week working with both the pre-school children and follow up students. They have also built up an excellent working relationship with our staff and have made a real impact on the education of the children in our centres over the past two months of their work. They have been busy preparing the children from our Khidderpore over the past two weeks for the the annual programmes of our partner organisation Development Action Society which takes place this Friday August 14th. We would like to thank them for all their great work over the past two months and wish them all the best for the final week of their stay in Calcutta before they finish their time volunteering with us next week.
We would also like to extend our thanks to the volunteers from SUAS who have been working in our Tangra and Topsia centres this summer also.
